Nearly 70% now work in the EU’s service sector

Almost 70% of employed persons (which includes both employees and self-employed) in the 27 EU member countries, worked within the service sector in 2011. Employment in EU agriculture falls 25%

Between 2000 and 2009, employment in the agricultural sector in the EU27 fell by 25%, which was the equivalent of 3.7 million full-time jobs.
